Our season began on
Sunday 13th April with our registration morning.
Many of last years players have returned, looking forward to
another very enjoyable season of cricket at Park Avenue. We
expect more of our players to return in the next week or so now
that the rugby, soccer and gaelic seasons have more or less
drawn to a close.
Coaching began on
Tuesday 15th April and we would like to express our
thanks to Kenny Carroll, Derek Carroll and Andrew ONeill for
kindly taking the coaching sessions in the first week.
All coaching sessions
are being well attended and we are receiving very positive
feedback on the coaching being given by our new Australian coach
Trent Copeland. We would like to welcome Trent to
Railway Union and wish him an enjoyable and successful season
with our club.
We have entered teams
in 6 leagues, U11a, U11b, U13a, U13b, U15 and U17 and have a
very busy match schedule over the next few months. We hosted a
very enjoyable friendly between our U13a and CYM and played a
return game last Wednesday. Our 13a hosted Clontarf in their
first league game and the result was a draw. The only other
competitive fixture played so far was and U11a vs Phoenix which
resulted in a narrow loss for our team.
New or returning players are still
welcome to join. A registration form can be downloaded from
this site and brought along to any coaching session. A reminder
